Have You Heard? Genie+ is on Its Way Out: Navigating Disney's New Fast Pass System

Planning a trip to Disney World can be overwhelming, especially with recent changes like Genie+ and Lightning Lane. Formerly known as FastPasses, Genie+ now allows you to access Lightning Lane entrances at attractions, bypassing standby lines. Currently, you can plan Genie+ selections the day of and throughout the day as you go.

However, Disney has heard your feedback about the frustration of being on your phone all day trying to pick your next selection and the inability to plan in advance. Starting July 24, 2024, Disney will introduce a new system that blends elements of Genie+ and the traditional FastPass. Guests staying on Disney grounds can plan Lightning Lane experiences up to 7 days in advance, similar to the original FastPass system that allowed you to plan 30 days in advance. Guests staying off grounds will be able to plan their Lightning Lane experiences up to 3 days in advance. This change will allow for greater flexibility and ensure you can enjoy your favorite attractions with minimal wait times.

Our knowledgeable travel planners at Wishes 3 stay updated on these changes, helping you navigate the best options for your Disney vacation. Whether you're interested in securing Lightning Lane passes, finding the best accommodations, or discovering must-try snacks, our team is here to ensure your trip is magical from start to finish.
