Cruising in Style

From illustration to reality the 20 floor mega ship is truly breaking records.
Illustration of Royal Caribbean's newest ship, Icon of the Seas

Today we take a grand look at Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and some of the areas it breaks through the mold and shows up ready to impress. To start here is a look at their newest ship. It sets sail January 27, 2024 and is the largest cruise ship to hit the seas to date. In late January she will hit the seas with 7,600 guests at maximum capacity with a total of 10,000 people on board once you count crew. This ship is a vast 20 decks high and 1,198 feet long. This might be hard to even wrap your mind around, so a quick comparison would be with some of the largest freighters in the great lakes being just over 1,000 feet in length. You might even be surprised to learn, this ship wouldn't fit in the locks of the great lakes because she is TOO LONG. To put all of this in simpler terms/words, this ship is massive. Not only is it large but it packs a punch full of fun. Their Thrill Island is a Category 6 waterpark making it the largest water park at sea with 6 record breaking slides. If slides aren't your thing, don't worry this ship has 7 unique pools as well as 9 whirl pools, all with deluxe ocean views of course! There is even a suspended pool that lets you connect with the ocean in a different sort of way. That's right, you heard me, suspended pool. Don't worry if you aren't one to get in and swim there is still plenty to entertain. Their Aqua Dome performances filled with lighting, ocean views, and stunts of bravery are sure to have you on the edge of your seat. How can that still not be all, but before we jump into all these ships have to offer, lets take a look at just how vast this playground of the sea truly is.

This truly iconic ship will be setting the records starting January 27, 2024. We can't wait to help you plan your trip and get you on one of these amazing cruises. Please contact us for free vacation planning for your ultimate cruise adventure.
